Privacy
Short version: TinyRecorder has no analytics, no telemetry and no account. Your recordings stay on your Mac.
Last updated: November 2026
The app
TinyRecorder does not collect analytics or usage data and does not upload your recordings. Recordings are saved to the folder you choose on your Mac.
The only network requests the app makes itself are for updates: it reads the update feed on GitHub and, when you install an update, downloads it from GitHub Releases. You can turn off automatic update checks and downloads in Preferences. GitHub handles these requests under its own privacy policy.
Installing
The install script and Homebrew download the app from GitHub. They don't send any information about you to the TinyRecorder project.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes requests as the hosting provider. To show the latest version number, your browser asks the public GitHub API for the latest release. Your language choice is stored only in your browser.
